Hello,
I have installed Spaceclaim 2022 R1 on a new workstation using the "Single User Subscription" method.
On our business admin portal, he has a license assigned to his user/account
When i open spaceclaim and use his login info, i get the following error:

What is causing this problem?
* Wrong settings/rights for this specific user?
* Certain network/firewall settings blocking communication? How can i get info about the hostname (FQDN) of the license server and/or port?
* Problems with the license itself? -

Apologies,
I tried copying the screenshots from a Teams conversation, but i guess that didn't work.
Hopefully they're visible now. -

Hi Albéric De Buysscher
Please try temporarily disabling antivirus, firewall, and Windows Defender during the activation and see if that helps.
If not, Could you please try refreshing your licenses using the command prompt options?
Let me know if the problem persists.
Regards.

Hello,
I have turned off firewalls
Â
Below, see the results of the different command prompts, these were all done AFTER windows defender was turned off.
For security reasons, i have removed part of the license activation key, but it is the Activation ID i received from myaccount.ansys.com/mysubscriptions, logged in with Edvinas' account.
Is this a domain firewall issue then or something?

Hi Albéric De Buysscher
I am not sure what could be the reason for this issue.
Please try making all the firewall and proxy server changes mentioned in section 5 of below mentioned trouble shooting document. If the issue persists, please send all the files as listed in section 6 of the same document.

Hello,
I have tried a different approach by temporary taking the workstation out of the domain network and related firewall rules.
I can now use Edvinas' account on spaceclaim installed on my own laptop with the given license key
This screenshot doesn't appear to be view-only mode, correct?
However, trying the same process on the workstation was not working.
It says the amount of license activations had reached the limit (2).
So i ran the GetDeviceId command to get the info from my laptop and unassigned that one on myaccount.ansys.com/subscriptions (logged in with Edvinas' account).
After that i was able to launch Spaceclain and log in with Edvinas' account to link the second usage of the license to the new workstation (while still not on the domain network),
After that i disconnected from 4G, reconnected to the business network and it still seems to be working.
So the whole issue was indeed domain firewall related, most likely.

Thanks for letting us know. Yes, as per the screenshot it does not appear to be in view-only mode.
So it seems that you are now able to launch SpaceClaim without any error. Let me know if any further assistance is needed.
Regards.
