SubscriberHi!
I want to use aqwa and rigid dynamics to simulate a wave energy converter. I wonder if there are some tutorials about this co-simulation available? The description in aqwa is too concise. Thank you!

Ansys EmployeeHello,
I'm afraid the training material for the Aqwa-Rigid Dynamics cosimulation has not been published yet, however the online documentation provides a description. This is contained in Section 8.3 of the Aqwa User's Manual, which you should be able to access from the Aqwa Workbench editor by clicking Help > Workbench User's Manual.

SubscriberHi,
Thank you. Is there any training material for co-simulation under preparation? If so, when it will be available?

Ansys EmployeeHi Xinyuan,
The training material exists in draft state, so it shouldn't be too long before it is published... but I can't give you an exact date, I'm afraid.
If you have a customer account, you could try creating a Service Request to ask for the material directly from the Aqwa development team.
Cheers, Mike

SubscriberHi
i also use aqwa co simulation for simulating floating offshore wind turbine and in the aqwa co simulation setup in ansys rigid dynamic module i have a big problem with uploading the Aero Dyn primary input file and inflow wind input file , it does not work and in extension log file some erorre appear like this :
AqwaCosimulation: Inadequate blade data files (ADBlFile) given in the AeroDyn primary input file (C:\Users\fatemeh.km\Desktop\AeroDyn primary input file.txt)
AqwaCosimulation: Failed to prepare the AeroDyn marker data.......can you send a Aero Dyn primary input file sample for me ?

Ansys EmployeeHello,
Unfortunately as an Ansys employee I am not able to share anything with you through this forum, hopefully someone else can help you out with this. However, I can suggest that your AeroDyn input file may be missing some key lines like:
======  Rotor/Blade Properties  ========================
True      UseBlCm       - Include aerodynamic pitching moment in calculations?  (flag)
"BladeData.dat" Â Â ADBlFile(1) Â Â Â Â - Name of file containing distributed aerodynamic properties for Blade #1 (-)
"BladeData.dat" Â Â ADBlFile(2) Â Â Â Â - Name of file containing distributed aerodynamic properties for Blade #2 (-) [unused if NumBl < 2]
"BladeData.dat" Â Â ADBlFile(3) Â Â Â Â - Name of file containing distributed aerodynamic properties for Blade #3 (-) [unused if NumBl < 3]The number of entries should match the number of blades (3 in this example). I hope this helps.
