Different result of ONA in INTERCONNECT for impulse response and scattering data

I build a ring modulator in INTERCONNECT, inside it I import several mode waveguides, the properties of mode waveguide come from Mode Solutions. The schematic is shown below.

Then I test the gain with different wavelength under scattering data mode in ONA, the result is normal

But for impulse response mode for ONA, the corresponding gain distribution is very strange as shown below

Could you please help me find the problem? Thank you and wish your reply

      Hi WENKAI YANG,

Thank you for the post. You will need to set some properties in the waveguides and couplers. Please refer to this page the "Important model settings" section: https://optics.ansys.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042329094-Ring-modulator-time-domain-INTERCONNECT-. Here are also some settings and explanations on the time domain setting and verification:

        I got it!

        Thanks a lot~

Sorry to bother you, but recently I still cannot figure out this problem aftering setting the parameters properly by following the steps from the vedio.

In this Figure, as you can see. it seems that the FSR under impulse response becomes much smaller compared to that of scattering data.

Do you know the reason? Thank you and wish your reply.

I also had the same question. When I set the digital filter to "false" with proper delayy compensation, the results align at the centre frequency. I wonder how this affects the validity of the results since I'm supposed to use a digital filter with group delay.
