SubscriberHello,
I am trying to configure my license, but there is an error saying that it could not connect to the Ansys license server. I have checked the license manager and the client licensing settings, and both are working fine. I also did the firewall thing. Does anybody know what is the issue here? The only thing I can think about is that the customer number does not match or has not been added to the account that I created, so I cannot see any license under the licensing portal. Thank you in advance!

Ansys Employee@Anh Ngo,
Ensure that the license file/manager is configured with static ports and these are allowed acces on the machine (DELL-XPS15).
>>> Ansys license manager configuration and license file installation – Ansys Optics
>>> Adding inbound rules to Windows Defender firewall – Ansys Optics
If you want to use the Ansys client settings, select this option in the Ansys Optic Launcher > Licenses configuration.
Otherwise, Disable the Ansys client licensing settings and configure using the default setting, Apply these settings my user account only.
If the Ansys License Manager is on the same computer that is running Ansys Optics (Lumerical), set Server to localhost
