SubscriberDoes the student version come with a license for enabling GPU? When I try to enable GPU I get the following error:
Not enough HPC parallel licenses 8/4.
Simulation was terminated by license error.

Forum ModeratorYou're requesting 8 cores for a run, the Student licence only allows 4. I suspect you won't get the GPU solver licence either, but it'll be covered in the download part of the site somewhere.Â

Forum ModeratorI had a look, looks like it was a "should be there" and isn't. There is a note about 4 cores only under the System Requirements.Â

Ansys EmployeeI am editing my response here to clear the confusion.Â
If you have a GPU card with less than or equal to 40 SMs, GPU computing on Fluent via student product can be used. See the snapshot below taken from my machine showing the number of SMs available on GPU card. Since I have 48 SMs, GPU computing on Fluent via student product is not supported.
