SubscriberI am currently trying to do a simulation of a solenoid with a mu metal core in ANSYS Maxwell.Â
The problem is, that there are two different results for 2D and 3D. 2D results seem feasible.
For 2D I used a Balloon-Boundary and for the 3D simulation I used an insulating boundary between coil and core.
Both solenoids have 500 amp-windings, d_outer = 19.75 mm, d_inner = 14.5 mm, height = 500 mm, coil material is copper and core material is mu metal.
Does anybody have an idea, why there are these differences?Â
If you need any kind of additional information, please let me know.Â
Thanks in advance for your help
