SubscriberDear Sir,
I am studying variations of melting with different inclinations. As shown below geometry, side walls being insulated, bottom wall uniform temperature, convection boundary at the top (h=10 W/m^2K, Tamb = 300K). Since the melt fraction is varying according to time so as Nusselt number (height* heat transfer coeff / thermal conductivity), so how to determine the variable Nusselt number, each time instant i have to measure the melt height and then i get the Nusselt number. So is there any shorter way, so that i can measure it easily, in less time

Forum ModeratorYou can monitor most things, so how are you calculating height and HTC when you stop to check the values?
