SubscriberHi all!
I’m having problems in dealing with BOIs in the waterthigh workflow in Fluent Meshing.
The problem arises in a workflow setup that used to work in very similar situations.
What I do:
- Â Â Import CAD geometry from Spaceclaim files;
- Â Â Import BOIs Geometries from separate SpaceClaim files (two of them)
- Â Â Set some facesize and curvature local sizing;
- Â Â Set some BOIs, scoped only to the geometries imported from the dedicated files (5 BOIs in total; 4 in one file and the remaining one in the other file).
- Â Â Generate the surface mesh.
The surface generation interrupts before computing regions with the following error:Error: The Body/Face of Influence body (mvp_v0001-bois_v01-wake-0) could not be identified
Error Object: #f
The specific BOI label reported in the error above is not relevant: I have tried multiple times and the BOI that raises the error is the last one in the task sequence each time (if I put only one task with all the BOIs defined in it, just for test, the one that raises the error is the last listed in the labels list). If I skip the definition of one of the 5 BOIs (no matter which) the surface generation process is completed without errors.As I already said, very similar workflows, with same number, position and shape of the BOIs, worked without problems.
Any idea about the reason of the issue, and how to resolve it?
I would also appreciate any idea on troubleshoot strategies.
p.s. I would like to include the log in the post, but I can't find a way to include a "code" section or to attach a text file. -

SubscriberUPDATE:
One of the many facesize assignations (on a face of the domain geometry, which consists of a single body) inadvertently changed to the "body of influence" type.
Setting it back to facesize solved the problem.
Since the mesh is composed of only one physical body, it justifies why it was the last BOI assignation that raised the error each time.
