SubscriberI am using Fluent 2022R2 to run a simple UDF. I have installed Visual Studio version 2022, however I get the following error message:
1 error generated.
scons: *** [udf_names.obj] Error 1
'nmake' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I have tried using builtin compiler of fluent, using visual studio versions 2017 and 2019, but the problem persists.Â

SubscriberHello,
Though I am not an expert on this, I have a couple of suggestions.
1: Can you try running Fluent from the VS command prompt?
2: If not, in the Environment Variables settings, make sure that the directory containing 'nmake.exe' is in the 'Path' variable.ÂÂThanks,Nikhil -

SubscriberHello, I have already done that. Seems that there is a version conflict of visualstudio. though I have uninstalled all versions of visual studio in oeder to use Fluent´s builtin compiler the problem persists. Therefore we proceeded with changing the windows!Â

SubscriberCan you check if the the fluent root path is correct (in the launcher window)? and also check if nmake is available in the installation directory.Â

SubscriberI mark it as answered! the problem was not solved. Finally I had to have a fresh installation of windows to be able to use builtin compiler of Fluent.Â

SubscriberIf the 'nmake' error still persists, make sure that the VS is installed with sufficient permissions on Windows.
