Harmonic analysis setting

      Hi everyone,

Isn't any way to force the workbench to read the harmonic analysis setting from APDL macro instead of proceeding from "analysis setting" table ?

i.e I need to make the harmonic analysis to deal with the input frequency range as a variable that can be read from external file by using APDL macro in workbench

      Hi,

I just did a test to investigate. A cantilever beam is subjected to a constant 1 m/s^2 base acceleration. In Analysis Settings, I specified that the sweep is over frequency interval [0 Hz < f < 250 Hz] divided into 50 frequency intervals:

I used a command object to override these settings [100 Hz < f < 250 Hz] divided into 25 frequency intervals):

This is a mode superposition harmonic response analysis (not FULL). The command object appears to have taken precedence (which is, as I understand it, want you want to accomplish):

      Kind regards,

      Bill

        Hi Bill,

I am speachless, if this procedure suceed with me , it will be such victory

I will try it and let you know for the good of others ?

        Hi Bill,

I have tried this method , it worked pretty good. final remark to be in consideration , the written APDL macro harmonic analysis frequency interval should be within the frequency interval of analysis setting given by workbench , otherwise it will not work properly

i.e you have to use -large- frequency inerval in the analysis setting to insure that the given APDL frequency interval lay in side it.

        Best of Regards
