Fluent stuck at CAD import on Linux

I'm running Fluent in batch mode on our University's cluster. The log shows it stuck at "initializing part manager from file":

      My workflow is:

      • Solid models created in Solidworks 2021, then exported as *.x_t
      • Named selection made in Space Claim 2022 R2
      • Run batch job on the cluster. Ansys version is 21.2

Could this be a version conflict?

Open SpaceClaim and import your file.

Export pmdb file from SpaceClaim from Workbench tab.

      Then use that pmdb file.

Please go through help manual for more details

      Regards,

      Keyur

I also met this problem. I imported the .pmdb file.  Could you please help with this problem?

I also have run into the same issue.  I am using a pmdb file exported from spaceclaim.  I can open it without any issues on Windows, but on Linux it hangs at 'Initializing part manager from file ...'.  Has anyone been able ot find a solution?

In my case it was an issue of different versions between Windows and Linux.  When I created the pmdb file in Spaceclaim using the same version as Fluent on the Linux server (in my case 2022 R2), then import works without issues.
