I encounter this error when starting up Ansys 2021 R2.  Any thoughts?

I have not solved this issue.   Hoping some one here will be able to tell me what I need to change to get Ansys working on our VMware vdi system.

It is installed on the golden image and is not being added as an app stack.  Our system is using T4 and M60 video cards to support the VDI instant clones.

Can you type the following in the DOS Command prompt window:
set >set.txt

This will create a file named set.txt in the directory where the DOS cmd prompt opens to.
When this is finished, open the file set.txt with notepad.
copy all contents and paste in a post

Can you try editing your PATH under the Windows System environment variables.
Make sure that it starts with

C:\windows\system32;C:\windows;C:\windows\System32\Wbem;

meaning: cut the following:
C:\Program Files\Python38\Scripts\;C:\Program Files\Python38\;
and paste it to the end of the PATH Variable value.

You can also try opening a dos window and then type in:
set Path=C:\windows\system32;C:\windows;C:\windows\System32\Wbem;C:\windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\

Then from the same dos window, try to start Workbench by typing in:
"C:\Program Files\ANSYS Inc\v212\Framework\bin\Win64\runwb2.exe"

I made the path changes.  Everything looked good on the golden image.  When we deployed out the image, I logged on to the system and opened up a new VM.  The path changes where not retained on the VM.  I am still getting the same error.

I tried installing Ironpython 2.7 on the VM and that worked.  Ansys started.....  

I was excited so I installed Ironpython 2.7 on the golden image.  Once we redeployed again, I was back to square one.  Same error as before.  Even though Ansys is installed directly on the Golden Image, I have a feeling that our App Volumes is playing a part in this error.

So, since the fall semester is about to begin, I am giving up for now.  The students will have Ansys on the physical machines, but will not have it on our VDI system.  

I may play with it more latter in the semester and the Christmas break.
