  How to model lensed fiber in lumerical FDTD with specific mode field diameter?

  FDTD or MODE are deterministic solvers, meaning they need the physical properties of the device in order to simulate the light propagation inside the device. We cannot deduct the physical properties of the devices from the results, in your case, the mode field diameter.
  I would suggest to get the information of the fiber, and the lens parameters in order to simulate it. You can add a semisphere or other lens into the fiber.
