SubscriberHi sir I want to know the temperature change across the thickness of a rectangular plate. The material is BiCuSeO (Thermoelectric material) and it has pores. I want to know that, how can I specify porous coefficient for particular cell zone which had pores. So that material can be considered as porous.

Forum ModeratorIf you check the Fluent User's Guide, Cell Zones, you'll find a section covering the coefficients you need for a porous media model. However, you also need to be careful with the terms. Porosity is the measure of void in a material, permeability is the measure of whether it'll let fluid pass through. In your case you may want to non-equilibrium approach to allow the solid to warm up at a different rate to the fluid.
