SubscriberI have a domain with a tangential fan located inside somewhere near the wall region, with pressure inlet=0 and pressure outlet=0. The objective is to calculate the mass flow rate for a given rpm of the fan.
I create a conformal mesh in Fluent Meshing for the fan zone and stationary zone (without interface) and use the default setup settings of Ansys Fluent 2022R1.
After several days of the challenge, I have not been able to converge on the solution. Any idea what would be the reason?
Assuming that the mesh is fine enough and the solution is initialized with first-order discretization the switched to second order.

Ansys EmployeeHi sum1cfd If your mesh quality, mesh resolution and setup is good, check if the residuals are stable through the calculation phase. You can also monitor velocity, pressure etc residuals and see if they are stable as well. Additionally, you can check net mass flow to see if mass is being conserved. These are some checks you can do to make sure your results are accurate when your results are not converging. If the above are not satisfactory, please check your setup.

SubscriberI have used conformal mesh between movin and stationary zones. Do I need to create interface in Fluent?
