Hello, i am trying to simulate the 6DOF rotation of a serrated edge wind turbine. However, due to the geometry, the mesh does not work. First i get a warning regarding failed tesselation fm mesh of some specific IDs and points. Then when generating volume mesh i get a non manifold node error and a number of dihedral angles discovered.

All of this is mostly due to the serrated edges but this is the whole point of the simulation, is there a workaround for this issue? Some way to alter the serration shapes? I am using watertight geometry mesh (tetrahedral).

Hello,
In watertight, make sure you set local sizing for the teeth part of the geometry.
First, make sure the geometry does not have any errors. I would suggest opening the geometry in SpaceClaim and do a geometry check to see if any errors can be detected. If there are any errors, you can use the Repair tools to fix the geometry.

thank you for replying to my posts. I get 0 fault detection, however there are hard edges/sharp angles which are a must since the project is about serration. The problem now is that refinning mesh in tetrahedral volume generation is never ending, i think its due to that. i also get the following error when importing geometry:

Another issue when generating volume mesh : "Warning: Min. aspect ratio less than 1 at 178204 nodes"
