Hi Everyone!

Does anyone know how I can perform the ANSYS Mechanical simulations using the APDL input files that Mechanical generates in .dat or .inp formats?

I would appreciate any help that you can provide.

Start Mechanical APDL Product Launcher
From ANSYS Mechanical APDL window, select Files -> Read Input From... and select your file (.dat or .inp)

I have two more questions and would be thankful if you could help me with them.
How can we change the working directory in ANSYS APDL? All result files are currently being saved in the C:\user directory.
How can we set the number of cores to perform parallel processing?

Hi When you start the Mechanical APDL Launcher, the window will have some options.
File Management: chang the Working Directory
High Performance Computing Setup: change number of processors
