What is APDL(Lumped mass) substitute in Ansys mechanical workbench?

      Is it point mass?

Point mass is equivalent of mass21 and is used to represent the mass of some part along with inertial properties. Both APDL and Mechanical refer to the term 'lumped mass'. For example substructure (condensed part) does refer to lumped mass. I would use a command snippet to turn lumped mass on (lumpm,on).

      Hi CS..Thanks
I want know, i have 2 drawings of big structure.
I want create 3d from 2d sketches , and some 2d sketches part i don't want create their 3d in CAD, as i want use them as point mass or condensed part in Ansys Mechanical for Modal Analysis
Say for example, down below, i don't want model these cuboid box sitting over ship structure, just want to use their stiffness and mass for modal analysis.
So in Ansys Mechanical, which option i need to use to replace these boxes? Condensing or Point Mass?Is condensing available in 2019 R3 license?

      also if you can tell:
The effect of buoyancy on hull vibration is generally regarded as small. Where it is necessary to consider the buoyancy effect, it may be modeled by adding rod elements to the wetted surface of the model. The rod elements work as springs and the total stiffness of the rod elements is to be equivalent to the shipÔÇÖs vertical buoyancy stiffness.
How apply rod element in Ansys mechanical?
