SubscriberDear Forum,
When we use the Lee's model for the evaporative mass transfer, which interfacial area it uses while calculation? If it is Mixture or Eulerian model multiphase model, the FLUENT user manual suggested to be using the interfacial area density as "6*Volume Fraction/Diameter of the particle", however for the VOF interface is continuous and that formulation should not work.
Kindly enlighten on this matter
Sincerely,
Rathore

Ansys EmployeeHello,
For a VOF model, the coeff is tweaked directly to keep the temperature at the interface near saturation.

SubscriberThank you for your response. Does it meant we don't need to multiply interfacial area density with the mass flux to finally get the mass source?
Truly Rathore
