SubscriberHallo everyone,
combined results for me delivers a convenient interface to combine load cases. But as far as I understand it right, these feature is more like combining results than a result of a combined case in some some case of results (e.g. user defined results). I am right?
Is it possible to configure user defined values that it calculates the combined stresses (i.e. the complete tensor) and calculate with this the following properties.
For me it is really confusing that of if you use the mises stress result, than it works fine, but if you use the user result with the formula e.g. with seqv, than it works more like calculation with the result? Did i do something wrong?
So if this question is not clear an example:
combining A and B, A + B = C
current state: userresult_C= userresult_A + userresult+B, with e.g. userresult(sigma_A)
wanted: userresult_= userresult(sigma_C) = userresult(sigma_A+B)
Do you now, which results work fine? e.g. what is about principle stress result?

Yes, the Solution combination feature is a combination of results of multiple cases, rather than the result of combined cases. You can combine the results of multiple solutions into a single combined result using the Solution Combination feature, and you can create multiple such solution combinations. Please refer to this - Solution Combinations (ansys.com) and Solution Combination Process Requirements and Conditions (ansys.com).
The Solution Combination option enables you to use User Defined Results to query data from result files that aren't available through standard results. For more details, see the User Defined Results for the Mechanical APDL Solver (ansys.com).
