SubscriberHi all,
I am modelling a reinforced concrete beam in ANSYS APDL to perform a thermal analysis under high temperatures due to fire. I am assuming that the beam is previously damaged, so I need to apply convection on some nodes that are located inside the cross-section. But, the software is allowing me to only apply convection on the surface nodes giving the warning presented in the attached picture.
So, does somebody have any suggestion for solving this problem?
Thank you

The warning message indicates that something is wrong with the convection boundary condition. Is the damaged portion modeled as exposed surface? If yes then you can apply convection boundary condition.
