SubscriberI am trying to simulate a 3D flow filed around a cylinder using Large Eddy Simulation. My flow domain is given below, where the cylinder and bottom surface are specified as no slip boundary conditions.

Ansys EmployeeHello
One approach to try could be to split the domain in such a way that it allows you to chose the region/surface to add inflation layers. For example, if the domain is split into 3 regions, upstream of BOI, BOI region and downstream of BOI then you may control the meshing in these volumes.
Hope it helps

SubscriberHow can I split the domain in ansys and how to combine them together?

SubscriberHello,
At the CAD level, try to separate the surfaces where you want to assign different inflation layers setting (Hint: Use imprint or intersect tool). In the Ansys meshing, you can insert multiple inflation settings in the outline tree and assign it individually to different surfaces. Let me know if this works.
