Hello,

I am working on a simple collision between two objects and I have come upon an issue with the Conservation of Momentum of the system. I am simulating the collision of one object impacting another, the first object is travelling at any speed, while the second object is stationary. When the first object impacts the second object, the angular velocity of the first object is unchanged. How would I set the joint load of the first object to just have an initial velocity, and not a fixed velocity throughout the entire simulation?

You need to assign Initial Conditions, not Boundary Conditions. One way to do that is by a multi step simulation. If the joint rotates 2 degrees in a time of 0.1 seconds in Step 1, then it's initital velocity for step 2 will be 20 degrees/sec.
