SubscriberHello,
I am trying to make a structural simulation of laminated plate with 24 layers of carbon fabric (symmetrical). First, I made a surface in design modeler representing the plate (200mm x 57mm). Next I added these 24 layers in different directions in ACP Pre. When defining the loads, I starded with simple tensile load by fixing one edge of the plate and applying a force on the other edge. The problem is - the resulting deformation is not only the elongation in the force direction but also a deflection of the plate. It looks like all the plies are stack up ON the surface and when applying the force on the edge I am in fact applying the force on the lower edge of the end of the plate, not the whole surface. How to properly solve this problem?
Greetings
Piotr
