SubscriberHello everyone,
I am trying, for a Year 4 project, to create a head model from MRI scans. I converted the brain parts from NIFTI to STL by using 3D Slicer. I want my model to have a continuous mesh but still being able to apply material properties to different parts of the brain.
I successfully converted the STL files into solid parts in ANSYS SpaceClaim 2022 R1 but I am not able to edit the mesh so that my model only has hexahedron elements. The software eventually crashes during the process (the progress bar is stuck).
Could you help me sort out this issue?
PS: You can find enclosed to this message a screenshot of the mesh parameters

Ansys EmployeeHow did you get solids?
It looks like a scanned body. Usually it comes in as lots of triangles i.e. faceted data. You will need to convert that into solid by using appropriate commands.
