SubscriberI have to analyze a copper plate which is the target of an electron deposition, giving rise to a heat deposition. I have generated a heat distribution with an external software, and I would like to import it in Mechanical Ansys to study the thermal transient of the plate.
My problem is importing the heat distribution in Mechanical: as far as I understand, I have to use the Internal Heat Generation (Import data) feature. It requires an xml file. First of all I would like to know which should be the organization of the data in such xml file. Secondly, how can I match the mesh of the plate in Ansys with the points in which I have calculated the heat distribution?

Use External Data module to import the data from .xml file and then link to the Mechanical setup.
