SubscriberHi,
I installed the fluid package 2021 R2 and have a problem when I try to start Fluent:
Failover feature 'CFD Solver - Level 2' is not available.
Request name cfd_solve_level2 does not exist in the licensing pool.
User/host not on INCLUDE list for feature.
Feature:Â Â Â Â cfd_solve_level2
License path: [email protected]**
FlexNet Licensing error:-39,147
Just to clarify, the university uses the port 1259 instead of the standard port.
I checked the connection to the license server with: telnet ServerIP 1259, and it seems to work.
Using the Old licadmin (Shared Files/Licensing/licadmin/) shows that there are licenses available.
Even the new one (Ansys client licensing settings) shows in the diagnostics :
Users of cfd_solve_level2: (Total of 500 licenses issued; Total of 23 licenses in use)
I cannot understand, why Fluent cannot obtain a license.
Is there another way to test if there is something else that could be causing this problem, for example, can list but can't use the licenses available?

Ansys EmployeeThis error means that there is a FlexLM options file in use on the license server machine.
You would need to speak with the person in charge of your License Server machine and have them add your username to the FlexLM options file
So that you have permissions to use licensing.

SubscriberThanks for your suggestion! That solved the problem!
It seems the license was limited to a certain IP range. I contacted the IT manager and he added the IP of the machine and that solved the problem.
