Hi everyone,

I'm doing a 2D analysis on the hull of a boat by using a VOF solver (Multiphase).

I will first share with you what I did exactly, then I will share the weird result I got :(

So starting with the mesh:

Looking at the model I'd say it's not well converged, so check the time step. Otherwise it's doing what you told it to: at the inlet speed it's pushing water over the fixed obstacle. In reality the boat will (probably) rise with the water and sit at a different position.

So it's not well converged and steady state. The result looks plausible given the set up. In 2d why would the water go under the obstacle rather than over?
