SubscriberHello,
Would it be posible to run a response spectrum analysis with a composite model prepared in ACP Pre and evaluate it using Tsai-Wu failure criterion?
Is ACP Post or the mechanical interface capable of extracting intended results?
Thank you,
Lino

Ansys EmployeeHi The predefined criteria available in ANSYS is
Tsai-Wu Failure Criterion -- Allows nine failure stresses and three additional coupling coefficients.
Tsai Wu FC is generic and preferred over Tsai Hill, since it distinguishes between Tensile & Compressive Failure strengths.
I suggest you look into 5.3.4. Failure Criteria for Reinforced Materials (ansys.com); 2.2.7. Evaluating Custom Failure Criteria (ansys.com) and 2.2.5. Postprocessing of a Composite Solid Model (ansys.com)

SubscriberHi Vigneswaran Thank you for taking the time to answer.
My question is about running a response spectrum analysis on a model prepared using ACP Preprocessor , not really about the failure criteria that would be evaluated in ACP Post.
So I would say the question is more about software capabilities among ACP modules and Mechanical:
Thank you Lino
