SubscriberHi every one ,I have been doing a simulation about valve closing and opening in IC engines.I successfully doen what HELP taught me to do ,which is using the DYNAMIC MESH & SLIDING INTERFACE & EVENTS to accomplish the valve opening and closing .
Just like the pictures shows below,I set EVENTS of CREATE and DELETE SLIDING INTERFACE to simulate the valve opening and closing.

Ansys EmployeeHello,
First, I would suggest you to improve the mesh and yes, for overset min 4 layers is required. May I know what the end goal of your simulation is?

Thank you so much for your answer RK, my simulation is about the.Yes you are so pro my mesh quality is quite bad because I am using the hybrid mesh, the picture below is part of the mesh.
Honestly , I give up the OVERSET MESH now because the calculation can go on though the quality is bad.Now I focus on the SPECIES MODEL, I use serveral MODELs including 1.SPECIES TRANSPORT(Eddy Dissipation & Finite rate ) //2. Non-Premixed Combustion(Chemical Equilibrium) //3. Non-Premixed Combustion (Diesel Unsteady Flamelet) //4. Partially Premixed Combustion. But the PRESSURE - CA results are quite different from the experimental data.(the picture below shows)
Here is my question , IS THERE ANY SETTINGS OR PARAMETERS CAN CHANGE THE RESULTS?
I mean ,apart from the DIESCRETE PHASE\ MATERIALS\DYNAMIC MESH which I think I have made the correct settings, is there something I miss in the SPECIES tab? Like another great software, the user can set the paramters in time steps to ensure that the simulation is consistent with the experimental data.
