SubscriberHow to get the location of maximum deflection in Ansys?
I have used Total Deformation and tried to get the Max deflection, and I have tried to use "Construction Geometry" to build a path on the top frame (the red one). But when I tried to use Total Deformation on Solution part, it does not let me select that path.
So my question, how to get the position of max deformation on frame?
Thanks in advance for any support!

SubscriberExporting Results
The data associated with result objects can be exported in Text (.txt) and Excel (.xls) file format by right-clicking on the desired result object and selecting theExportoption. Once executed, you define a filename and then select the file type. An Excel file automatically opens providing the node numbers and the corresponding result data.
Exporting Node Results
In addition to a general export of all result data, you can also manually select results for one or more nodes and export data for those nodes only.
To export node results:
Select the desired result object.
Select theNodefilter on theGraphics Toolbar.
As needed, select a desired selection tool in theSelect Modemenu (also on theGraphics Toolbar).
You may wish to review theSelecting Nodessection of the Help.
Select the desired nodes on the result plot.
In the graphics window, right-click the mouse and selectExport Node Results. You are prompted to save the data in.txtformat. You may also select to save the data as an Excel file. Once you save the file, an Excel file automatically opens providing the node numbers and the corresponding result data.
The output will list the node numbers and displacements in Excel. You can sort by the displacement to find the node number that has the maximum value.
To get the coordinates of that node number, one way is to open the ds.dat file in the Solver Files directory and search for that node number.
