I have already used the isotropic properties of Nylon for structural analysis. Now I have to perform the analysis with the original behaviour of the material. Kindly comment, if anyone knows the material model for Nylon 6/6?

it depended upon the type of problem you are modelling, for best answers from us, do elaborate the problem by giving some details like what you are tying to do and show us some images of your initial trials. Moreover, do your literature review first before you towards the simulating the model.

Hi Mr. Ram Thankyou for reply Mr. Ram. Following are the details of the analysis.
1. Structural Analysis, specifically static structural analysis where a beam is subjected to 3 point bending.
I need to compare the max deflection that will occur while using isotropic behaviour of nylon 6/6 (which i have already done) and non linear behaviour of Nylon6/6. I have referred few literatures and they use non-linear visco-elastic material and the model is assumed to have large deformations, and the constitutive model is based on the Prony series.
What is your suggestion regarding the same.......?

Hi, You can access directly the true stress-strain curve for different PA in Granta Selector or (EduPack if for teaching), and of course many other properties with links to producers or specific tests. Then using Export function or using Workbench you can directly import the data into your FE model.

Hi, dmercier I am using ANSYS 18.2. and nylon 6/6 is not present in the material library. Also, the Granta selector is a feature in the 2021 version, right?
