Time history analysis

Hello every one. I am doing a time history analysis using transient structure by applying a displacement history to the structure at the base. I am now confuse what will be the correct way if I want the acceleration and displacement response of a specific level? Further what is difference between adding a acceleration or displacement probe and normal displacement or acceleration?

I apologize, but I'm not sure I understand what your question is. If you are solving a transient analysis, you can use a base excitation of displacement or acceleration (for linked mode-superposition transient). You can get displacement or acceleration as your output in either case. The output doesn't depend on how you define your base excitation, if that may be what you are asking.
      Regards Sheldon
