Hello!
I am a mid-beginner in Ansys. I want to simulate wheel - rail contact in order to get results of pressure in contact path. I want to simulate wheel rotation with creepage forces. Additonaly I want to simulate slip (creepage) beetwen wheel and rail by moving rail towards wheel.
In order to make a good simulation, I want to gain knowledge and experience from you, so I have following questions:
- in which environment should I simulate- Transient or Explicit Dynamics or LS Dyna?
- should I make a contact between wheel and rail in CAD or by Ansys contact settings by chosing faces, edges, etc.?
- how to deal with contact phenomenon? Is it necessary to use APDL commands? The wheel-rail contact is highly compliaced issue...
I would be very thankful for your help :)
Best regards,
Martin

Cheers, Ram
