SubscriberHi, I am fairly new to Ansys so sorry if this question is not quite clear or if it needs more clarification. I have a laptop with several installed versions of Ansys programs on the 2021 R1 version. The license manager for the college I work for has licenses available for the 2021 R2 version however. Is there a way of simply upgrading the 2021 R1 to R2 and do I need to do anything to the license file on the laptop itself?

Ansys EmployeeIf the License Manager the college is using is 2021 R2, this should allow versions of ANSYS from 2021 R2 and earlier to run.
If you are pointed to the college's License server and check out licenses from there, there is no license on your laptop.
You can install 2021 R2 on your laptop as it is a separate install from 2021 R1. They will both exist on your laptop.
