SubscriberI am using Ansys material Designer for making composite material properties from E glass chopped fibres and resins. But when I use a large aspect ratio (ratio of the length of fibre to its dia, in this case, l=25mm, dia=10 micrometre, aspect ratio=2500 ), the Spaceclain does not support the resulting geometry.
Please help me in this regard. How to overcome this problem?

May I ask when you need to model 25 mm of fiber? This being a micro-mechanical model, we typically are not solving at that scale length for composites, unless there is something related to the specifics of your design. Do you have sketch you could share or details? Thanks.

SubscriberThanks. All I want is the elastic properties of short fibre chopped composite made of E glass fibre and a polyester resin. My fibre dia is 10um and fibre length is 25mm so my aspect ration becomes is in 1000s. How can I assume my aspect ratio to be 20 or 40 etc which the material designer normally support.
