About defining material properties in ANSYS Workbench !

      Hi everyone

I am now working on thermal expansion simulation of a solid wire. This wire is subject to the temperature variation. The thermal expansion coefficient with respect to temperature in axial and radial direction is given in table (b). When I tried to input this data to Engineering Data Module, there is 3 components of thermal expansion coefficient as shown in Table (c). Are they different from experiment data? How can I implement the data into ANSYS?

      I really appreciate your help.

Hello, set your element orientation so that, for example x is perpendicular to shaft surface. there is no way do define mat properties in cylindrical coordinate, change your element orientation, something like the the attached image

Thank you for your suggestion. However I didn't see any your attached images. Could you share me command snippet?

Hi I'll upload it again, command isn't needed, search more about element orientation in ansys.
