I'm currently using Ansys Electronics Desktop_HFSS to run electromagnetic simulations at 200kHz and 42V. I used Solidworks to create my model and converted it to STEP. file. When running the simulation, I got the following error:
  [warning] Errors in geometric analysis
  [error] Surface Mesh Generation Failed.
[error] Simulation completed with execution error on server: Local Machine.
I checked Mesh Feedback, which showed these messages:

It is possible to do stitch in AEDT. You can remove edges but there is no extra edges function in AEDT.
Please go through "heal" and "stitch" sections of the help document for detailed information.
All the very best.
