SubscriberI am working on fixed bed reactor. I am giving the input for fuel via coal calculator. Giving input of Ultimate and proximate analysis. I have applied both homogeneous and heterogeneous reactions through species transport, but the problem is that I am not getting the desired concentration of the syngas. First i am generating the pdf and then i switch to species transport and apply all the reactions. Is there any option to input reaction temperature.
I am net in this field so kindly help me by providing your valuable feedback.

Forum ModeratorHow are you modelling the coal?

Ansys EmployeeAnd the heterogeneous reactions? Is it only DPM model with species transport?

SubscriberAfter generating the pdf from non premixed, i have selected species transport. In that taking pdf as the mixture i apply both homogeneous and heterogeneous reaction.

Ansys EmployeeHow are you modeling the heterogenous reactions? Which models are enabled in your case?

SubscriberDiscrete Phase Model is there that i have used. I am not aware of so many models. It would be a great help if you could guide me through in this. I am working on a simulation for Lignite coal gasification and i wish to calculate the concentration of products from the whole process.

Forum ModeratorDPM for a packed/fluidised bed isn't going to work: read the assumptions on that model. I think you'll need the Eulerian model, and may then need to review the chemistry.

SubscriberThanks rob. Are there tutorials on eulerian model.

Forum ModeratorI think so. Check in Help, otherwise there is one in the Learning Hub (you need to pay for that) on the Multiphase course.
