SubscriberI have currently run the calculations for 5000 iterations and I want to know, when I close fluent (after saving my project) and then reopen and run calculations will it continue from where I left of which was 5000 iterations? Or will it start over.
If so, how do I make it to continue from the previous iterations.
Thank you

AdministratorHello You need to make sure you save both the case and data files before closing. When you open this saved data file, Fluent will continue iterating from where it left off.
WorkBench should automatically do this for you when you close the project.

Ansys EmployeeHi I'm assuming you are running Fluent under Ansys Workbench. Then, saving the project should save your case and data files which you can import once reopening Fluent. You can also manually export the case and data files, which would then contain the mesh, solver settings, and the solution data that you currently have. Running the calculation for e.g. another 1000 iterations will then add on to where you left off, and will finish with a total of 6000 iterations.
Hope this helps.
