      Hi,

for some reason, I can't save my Workbench project nor could I archive it. So i forced to close the program and found that I couldn't open the project again. The error message read: 'GuiOperation OPen...' threw exception during invoke: The tag present in the reparse point buffer is invalid.

Can someone help me understand the issue and the way to recover my files? Thanks!

Are you able to provide the information shown under "Show Details"? This should give us a hint on where in the system the exception is occurring. Please share the full text.

Can you try renaming your %APPDATA%\Ansys to Ansys.old?

Search for %appdata% in File Explorer, it's probably in C:\Users\userID\AppData\Local\Ansys and/or C:\Users\userID\AppData\Roaming\Ansys Note, /AppData is a hidden folder.

Was there any resolution to this error? I have the same issue, and renaming %APPDATA%/Ansys to Ansys.old has had no impact to me
