SubscriberI was working on a project where the file of spaceclaim is about 4 Mb. Now the same file is running very slow in spaceclaim, I have change my rendering but did not change anything. I used to work with heavier files without a problem. How can I fix this?

Ansys EmployeeHere are few general tips to improve performance in SCDM
Right click on the body/component and select "check geometry" and see if there are any errors. Fix errors and see if it helps
Copy and paste all the geometry into a new, empty design. This will remove all the background information that could be slowing the model down
You may turn off the auto save or increase the auto save interval (default is 15 min). On large models this can have an impact. You find the setting under ÔÇ£SpaceClaim OptionsÔÇØ->ÔÇØSupport FilesÔÇØ->ÔÇØRecovery AssistantÔÇØ.
Close Spaceclaim and Clear the contents in these folders

SubscriberI'm sorry that I click on "no" on the question if the answer was helpful, indeed it was very helpful. Now my model is running fine, thank you.

Subscriber@Govindan Nagappan Can you explain what might constitute "background information"? I have a large model and I'm looking for speedups wherever I can get them
