SubscriberHello,
I´m currently searching for a tool to solve a problem. It is neccessary for me to identify the smallest possible contact area between two objects. These two objects might have a soft surface or they might be solid. It is neccessary to take in account contact from all object dirrections but also contact in various relative position to each other. The only outcome I need to know is the contact area. Do you think this might work in Ansys and if yes, what would be the overall strategy to implement this kind of thing?
Thank you for your help and answer!

If you are trying to identify any possible contact location and not miss out on the same then you can change the Tolerance Settings under Contact Auto Detection:

Mesh Connection Group/Contact Match Group (ansys.com)
