SubscriberHi, I am studying the effects of forced and natural convection within a greenhouse dryer. I'd like to do a moisture removal simulation. I did watch some videos and tutorial on doing some simple setups. May I ask how can I setup moisture in a domain? I understand that species transport has to be implemented, but I am not clear on how to model it. I'm a beginner in Fluent, if anybody can help that would be much appreciated.

Forum ModeratorYou need species and want a vapour+air mixture. Have a look at the reaction tutorials & examples, just don't tick volumetric reactions. The dryer part is a little more complex, and may require expressions/UDF for a mass source (sink) in the dryer. Just to note, relative humidity is NOT the same as mass fraction but is commonly messed up by users.

SubscriberThanks alot for your reply Rob! I will try out the tutorials and examples you mentioned. May I share my setup here if I need a little bit more guidance?

Forum ModeratorYou may, but staff cannot open/download anything so pictures are probably best. Other community members can download files if they choose.
