Unable to converge for a solution

      Hi,

I’m trying to find a solution for a tapping chuck. The model is underconstrained in order to allow the tapping tool to travel along the tap. Till now I´ve been trying different strategies in order to converge: Adding substeps, changing contact stiffness, trying different contact formulations (normal Lagrange and project based) …

After the last changes I obtained this force convergence plot.

you can try to join your model by creating an archive from Workbench, it will be easier for us

From your last step, I see that your force wants to converge to the criterion, so you can try to add iterations, to do this insert a command object in static-structural branch, then add the command NEQUIT,100 .

Have you checked the quality of the mesh?

Finally what error message does the solver output show?
