Hi,

I am trying to simulate dispersion relation for a dielectric grating placed over a metallic substrate, for which I need to use bandstructure and dipole_cloud analysis group. But, unfortunately, I could not locate the pages with required information.

For example, the bandstructure link (https://support.lumerical.com/hc/en-us/articles/360042037533) keeps showing "The page you were looking for doesn't exist"

Kindly provide the link for pages explaining the setup and analysis of these groups.

Sorry about the broken link. I would recommend the photonic crystal examples for a demonstration of how to use these analysis groups:
This example might be helpful as well, it uses the same approach for a surface plasmon dispersion relation calculation:
Your simulation should be similar to the SPR example, you will just have to be careful to make the periodicity of the simulation match the periodicity of your grating. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Hi Kjohnson Thank you for your response. I am facing a rather peculiar problem while running bandstructure and spr resonance simulations. When I run sweep over "K-points" for bandstructure or "theta" for resonance, my file is getting stuck at "wrapping up" stage (please refer to the screenshot attached).
To check if there is some problem with simulation file or with the software itself, I installed the trial version of the software on a different computer and the simulation seems to run fine on the trial version.
Could you please suggest what could possibly be causing this problem on the licensed version. FYI.. the computer has sufficient memory with 128GB RAM and dual processors; the lumerical software is also updated to the latest version.

I'm not sure what might be causing this. I would recommend trying a clean reinstall, as described in this post: /forum/discussion/24789/ansys-insight-fixing-lumerical-activation-errors
