Hi Forum,
I've used an UDF for gray band absorption coefficient: DEFINE_GRAY_BAND_ABS_COEFF(gray_band_scat, c, t, nb).
Now I also want to define a UDF for gray band scattering coefficient. However, I do not see a definition for a gray band scattering function in the manual? I've tried DEFINE_GRAY_BAND_SCA_COEFF() but that does not work. I cannot load a UDF DEFINE_GRAY_BAND_ABS_COEFF() function into the scattering coefficient in the FLUENT materials panel neither.
Would you maybe know a solution? Thank you!

Can you check DEFINE_PROPERTY to specify the scattering coefficient?

July 22, 2021 at 8:38 amJaydaSubscriberHi SD Yes, I did. But I want the scattering coefficient to be identified per band, as I do with the absorption coefficient (via DEFINE_GRAY_BAND_ABS_COEFF). I know how to define a UDF of the class DEFINE_PROPERTY. The issue is that via DEFINE_PROPERTY there cannot be a scattering coefficient that is different in different light wavelight bands.
Why is this not possible for the scattering coefficient? And is there a way around? Thanks!
