Difference in the magnitude of velocity vector and velocity contour in Fluent

  I performed transient analysis using Eulerian-Granular model in Fluent. I observed the difference in the magnitude of velocity in vectors and contour plots. Please explain the reason behind this.

  Here is the values displayed in the vector and the contour legends. The maximum value also differs.

  What happens if you plot the contour with node values off?
