Anisotropic Species Diffusion term meaning in cell zone condition of Porous media

      Hello Everyone,

I want to simulate the flow of gaseous species over the coating of catalyst. I considered a catalyst coating as a porous medium.

I am planning to solve mentioned PDE in fluent for porous domain. Equation and geometry are attached.

      A) does depend if you want to account for direction dependent diffusion.
      B) the terms in your equation are all built-in. If something is missing it can be added. If you want to know the background please refer to the mentioned references in the manual

C)manual is just a how to. Theory is found elsewhere.

Thanks for replying DrAmine A) Mine is isotropic diffusion so I dont think it will affect much, but if I will tick on anisotropic diffusion box then matrix appears and if its diagonal elements are 1 and other elements are zero then it would be isotropic only, right?
      B) If I will not check on the anisotropic diffusion then I will not be able to choose Brinkmann option (which I want to find out the changes with and without use of anisotropic diffusion).
      C) I didnt find anything about Brinkmann term in both user guide as well as theory guide. Do I have to read it somewhere elese?

      A. Yes
      B. No. it has noting to do with species diffusion that Brinkman viscosity.
      C. 3 Keywords are enough to have some information: Brinkmann viscosity porous.
