SubscriberI have a model, where I assign boundary conditions as two pressure inlets with 0 gauge pressure and supersonic inital gauge pressure and a specified value at a mass flow rate outlet, however my problem is the residuals diverge. I have tried laminar and turbulent model and both diverge

Forum ModeratorWhat is the flow doing? Is the mesh resolution and cell quality suitable?

Subscriberyes, I changed the outlet boundary condition to velocity inlet and specified a negative velocity based on the designated mass flow rate, and the residuals converged and the mass flow rate definition was correct, so don't understand why the mass flow outlet bc was causing problems

Forum ModeratorWithout seeing the flow field I can't comment. However there are some subtleties to the mass flow boundaries when compared to the velocity boundary.
